Bury Tomorrow rilis album baru ‘Earthbound’ di bulan Januari 2016. Band ini mengusung melodic post-hardcore berasal dari Inggris. Berdiri sejak tahun 2006, sudah ada 4 album : Portraits (2009), The Union of Crowns (2012), Runes (2014) dan Earthbound (2016).

Vocalist : Dani Winter-Bates, rhythm guitarist and singer : Jason Cameron, bassist : Davyd Winter-Bates, drummer : Adam Jackson dan lead guitarist : Kristan Dawson (menggantikan Mehdi Vismara di tahun 2013).

Menurut Dani Winter-Bates (vokal) mengatakan kepada Revolver Mag bahwa ia membawakan lagu yang mereka buat selama ini tanpa terpaku pada sepuah konsep, yang penting bisa menghajar rasa haus telinga pendengar.

“We just want to drill home the type of music we want to do for however long it might be. Be it a year or 10 years, whatever it comes to. We wanted to really find a sound that lasts and has that longevity, which is a hard thing to do. For us it was just to staple this is Bury Tomorrow. There’s no gimmick, no concept behind the album, it’s literally 10 songs that are an onslaught on the ears.

Dani juga mengatakan bahwa mereka tidak akan menulis seperti pada musik metalcore modern. Bahkan ia menyebut nama Disturbed dan Avenged Sevenfold yang cenderung mencari pasar dengan skala besar.

“We don’t want to be writing songs that are modern metalcore, we want to be writing music akin to the bands selling out arenas, bands like Disturbed and Avenged Sevenfold. We’re trying to write on a grander scale. We’ve always written to the venues we want to sell out. I think with this album we’ve got there.

Bury Tommorow memang memiliki idealisme tinggi, bahkan mereka terbilang blak-blakan, pasalnya Dani mengatakan dengan rasa percaya diri bahwa jika suka dengan band, bilang suka, jika tidak, bilang saja tidak.

“It’s a no-frills album, but I think the others we’ve done were more about showcasing what we can do. Now it’s a case of if you like us you like us, if you don’t you don’t. This is our sound. It’s why I’ve been so confident on this album. It’s the best album we’ve ever done by a long way.”
