The first time I heard their song was “Apologize”, then I try hunting their album that time. And the other songs, this is amazing. Yeah, the album Dreaming Out Loud was released in 2007 – seems to be the beginning of the success of the band OneRepublic.
Not an easy thing for Ryan Tedder cs released the album, OneRepublic actually has been long enough they formed, in 1996.
There are lots of great songs like Mercy, Stop And Share, Tyrant, Will not Stop, and All We Are.
In the second album, in 2009 they continued the success with the album’s work: “Walking Up” which brought the band is getting on top. The attraction single “All The Right Moves” is more energetic than the songs on the album “Dreaming Out Loud.” Followed by other singles “Secret” and “Good Life.”
In 2013, OneRepublic released the third album titled “Native”. A blend of the first album and second album into beautiful music. Starting from Counting Stars, Something I Need, Feel Again, I Lived and the wonderful song called “If I Lose My Self.”
Perfect!
But, In 2016, a huge changed! more pop. Just like the other band such as Maroon Five, Coldplay, etc. The fourth album “Oh My My” was released in October 2016. But, you need to hear their great sad song “Let’s Hurt Tonight”.
Also, in 2017, OneRepublic released brand new single “No Vacancy” with the electronic music – rnb.
History
OneRepublic formed in 1996 when the vocalist Ryan Tedder had a friend of his high-school Zach Filkins (guitar) formed a band that was called REPUBLIC. But because they both have graduated and lectured on different campus, eventually the band broke up.
2002 was the year they actually established the band by adding personnel Eddie Fisher (bass), Brent Kutzle (cello / violin) and Drew Brown (guitar). But after making their first recording, they were forced to change their name, because the REPUBLIC is a controversial name for a band. And as it is today, their band name is OneRepublic.
Musicality
The genre presented by One Republic is Rock, Alternative, Pop. But the vocalist said that OneRepublic is not fixated on a genre, because they make a lot of music.
“We’re no respecter of genre. If it’s a good song or a good artist whether rock, pop, indie or hip hop, we’ve probably influenced us on some level … nothing’s new under the sun, we’re a sum of a bunch of parts. ” Ryan said.
They were inspired by bands like The Beatles and U2.
